The Minor Bantam AE Aurora Tigers took the ice at the Mastercard Centre yesterday, where they faced off against four other teams in a skills competition, dubbed the Skills Gauntlet, to see which team would advance to the final stage of the Storm the Centre competition run by Under Armour and the Toronto Maple Leafs...
The Tigers competed against teams from Hespeler (Minor Bantam 'A' Shamrocks), Oshawa (Major Bantam AE Generals), Scarborough (SHA Tier 1 Minor Bantam Ice Raiders) and Milton (Minor Bantam MD Winterhawks). Each player was selected to compete in one event during the Skills Gauntlet. The events included Fastest Skater, Puck Control, Shot Accuracy, Goalie Agility and the Breakaway.

And that’s pretty awesome. You dominated the challenges. You rocked the vote. And then you showed us some serious talent in the Skills Gauntlet. You should be incredibly proud of your team's performance in the challenges. Well done!

Unfortunately, only two teams could move on, the Oshawa Minor Generals and the York Simcoe Express.
Still, your entire team should hold your heads high. You’re what hockey is all about. You’re what make it such a great game.
