Minor Bantam AE, U15/U14, 2016-2017 (Aurora Minor Hockey)

The Minor Bantam AE team's season officially came to an end on Friday night after a hard fought 2-1 loss in the York Simcoe Championship Series. The Tigers definitely looked like the better team out there as they gave it their all, but they fell just short against a very strong Barrie Colts team that recorded only one loss over the course of the 30-game regular season. Congratulations to the boys and the coaching staff on a strong finish to the season.

The Minor Bantam AE team participated in the Bantam Tournament hosted by the Aurora Minor Hockey Association this past weekend. The boys used their home-ice advantage to string off consecutive wins against teams from Newmarket, Whitby and Belleville in the Round Robin portion of the tournament before facing a very tough team from Richmond-West Carleton in the finals. Congratulations to the boys and coaches!

The Minor Bantam AE team got the full Marlies Experience yesterday. They spent their day at the Ricoh Coliseum where they, first, played an exhibition game against the Pickering Panthers AE team and then watched the hometown Toronto Marlies take on the Hartford Wolf Pack.

The Minor Bantam AE team participated in a Christmas Assistance Program run by Welcoming Arms, a registered charity in Aurora whose purpose is to provide assistance to Aurora citizens in need.

The Minor Bantam AE Aurora Tigers took the ice at the Mastercard Centre yesterday, where they faced off against four other teams in a skills competition, dubbed the Skills Gauntlet, to see which team would advance to the final stage of the Storm the Centre competition run by Under Armour and the Toronto Maple Leafs...
