AMHA's House League and Rep Scholarships Available

The AMHA is pleased to announce our House League and Rep Scholarship program.

Two grade 12 players dedicated to serving their communities through display of leadership and volunteering will be awarded with $500 each.

Criteria is as follows:

  1. Player must be in grade 12 with an grade average of 80% and above

  2. Must provide copy of their most recent term report

  3. The player must have been an Aurora Tiger for a minimum of 5 years

  4. The player must write a 600 word essay with a detailed description of their volunteer and leadership achievements, how they have impacted their community and what future goals they wish to achieve.

  5. One signed testimonial letter. The letters must be from either the organization where volunteering is/was being done or by an educator at their attending school. An electronic signature or scanned copy of the signed letter is acceptable. 

Note: The testimonial writer(s) should know the player, be able to explain the value and impact of the player’s achievements. Please ensure they have included their first  and  last name, their position, email address and phone number on the letter itself.

Additional Information

You may include additional materials if they provide more insight into the player’s accomplishments, such as:

  • additional testimonials

  • publications

  • media stories and news articles

Please ensure submissions are made in .doc or pdf format.

Deadline

The deadline for submission is Feb 24th, 2023. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of the AMHA Board of Directors. Scholarship winners will be announced on March 3rd, 2023.
