Hockey - Entry to Our Rinks
Submitted By Joanne Rey-Reiter on Friday, October 8, 2021
Hello,

With the season getting started, we have a few things of importance to pass along. Please read this in its entirety.

Affected Person means any vaccine eligible Player, Game Official, Team Official, Volunteers, Instructors and Spectators. At present, this policy does not apply to anyone born after 2009.

All Affected Persons are required to be Fully Vaccinated (i.e.: including the 14-day period after receiving their completed dose) by October 31, 2021 or earlier. All Affected Persons must present to the AMHA Safety Ambassador, as applicable, evidence satisfactory to the AMHA, demonstrating that they have received the completed series of an Accepted COVID-19 Vaccine.

On November 1, 2021, any Affected Person not Fully Vaccinated (i.e.: including the 14-day period after receiving their completed dose) will no longer be eligible to participate in any Sanctioned Activities until such time as they have presented satisfactory evidence that they have been Fully Vaccinated or been granted an accommodation.

The AMHA, has been working with a new screening service called eWaivers that enables organizations such as ours, to put our physical Covid-19 Screening Tool online so participants can use their cell phones/computers to complete the waiver process in order to enter our facilities.  This dramatically speeds up the process of completing the form, and completely eliminates all the paper that is currently being managed/stored.  Every team will have one or two Safety Ambassadors. The Safety Ambassador shall verify that each person passes the eWaivers screening. In order to enter any of our facilities in Town you must do so through the Safety Ambassador.  You cannot just walk in.  In saying this, make sure you know who the Safety Ambassador is for your team,  so you can advise them if you're late, so they can meet you at the entrance in order for you to come in. Should you need to leave the facility and re-enter, this MUST be done with the Safety Ambassador.  At NO point will anyone become confrontational with the Town appointed greeter.  They will not let you in without a Safety Ambassador there.  The Safety Ambassador will also be required to see proof of vaccination along with Government issued identification.  The vaccination document should have a Ministry of Health watermark through it. This vaccine receipt will only need to be verified once.

To access the screening form please follow this link.  https://ewaivers.ca/pages/amha or you can scan the Aurora Minor Hockey Association QR code that your Safety Ambassador will have in their possesion.

Please ensure to follow other Facilities guidelines when travelling to another municipality, your team will have those guidelines.

See you around the rinks!
