Vaccination Update
Submitted By Joanne Rey-Reiter on Thursday, September 30, 2021
Hello All,

Further to yesterday’s announcement regarding the Letter of Instruction from the York Region Medical Officer of Health that the proof of vaccination was to come into effect on Saturday, the Town of Aurora will take an education-first approach until November 1, 2021.

Out of consideration for the changing landscape for users, there will be  a grace period from October 1 to November 1, to make sure that people have time to come into compliance with the new instructions.

We are still required to follow the new procedures for verifying the proof of vaccination effective 12:01am on Friday, October 1st.  However, for players, bench staff, refs and scorekeepers who do not meet the criteria to be considered “fully vaccinated” they may be allowed to enter, but must be informed that effective November 1, 2021 they must be fully vaccinated or will no longer be granted entry into the facility at that time.

Thank you, and stay safe!
