REGISTRATION NOW OPEN for the 2021 Nature’s Emporium Run for Southlake!
Submitted By Corby Saltzman on Tuesday, February 23, 2021
As our hospital continues the fight against COVID-19 and physical distancing guidelines remain in place, this year we are inviting you to join us once again for a VIRTUAL Nature’s Emporium Run for Southlake, another fantastic experience for the whole family, team or organization.

From April 12 to May 9, this FOUR WEEK virtual challenge will

enable you to build on skills developed the previous week and help you warm up after the cold winter months.

WEEK 1 – Eat Well with Southlake

WEEK 2 – Make it a Habit with Southlake

WEEK 3 – Build Your Endurance with Southlake

WEEK 4 – Go the Distance for Southlake

Here is the link to the registration site:  MAKE YOUR HEALTH A PRIORITY: REGISTER NOW

We are still in the process of finalizing all of the program details, and I expect to have more details in early March.  Here’s what I can tell you so far:

·       there will be a leader board for participants to track their progress against their goals and that the sky is the limit in terms of selecting an activity.

·       We will be offering cooking classes, nutrition tips, recipes, a variety of fitness classes

o    Ie; Zumba, Yoga, etc.

·       a playlist by the Maple Leafs DJ

·       and potentially an exclusive video by a Leaf player

You can either register AMHA as a Run team and encourage members to join your team, or they can create their own run teams, or simply register as individuals.

FUNDRAISING is key: We’d really appreciate it if you could emphasize the fact that the registration fee covers the costs of the event only, and we’re encouraging everyone who participates to fundraise as well.  Fundraising is where we generate the funds to support the most urgent needs for patient care at Southlake Regional Health Centre. From basic needs like beds to cutting-edge equipment like an MRI, and enhanced spaces, you can help our expert front-line staff provide our communities with the best possible care right here, close to home.
