AMHA + Aurora Food Pantry + COBS = Making a Difference
Submitted By Chris MacEachern on Tuesday, October 10, 2017
The AMHA has selected the Aurora Food Pantry as one of its charities for the 2017 Home and Home Series (October 27 to 29).

The AMHA is asking for donations as our players and families make their way to their respective Home and Home Series games. In fact, for every donation given, COBS Bread has generously sponsored the drive and will give one free COBS treat per donation!

Our goal for this drive is 4 items per donation. With the possibility of over 1,000 AMHA–registered players donating this amount alone, the Aurora Food Pantry can serve approximately 200 people for the year!

As you think about giving, the Aurora Food Pantry requests that we consider the list below:

  • Baby food, cereal, and juices

  • Peanut butter

  • Healthy school snacks

  • Soups and stews

  • Rice and other side dishes

  • Condiments

  • Canned fruit

  • Canned meats/tuna

  • Personal hygiene/toiletries

  • Toilet paper/paper towels

  • Financial donations (as we purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, milk, and eggs)

The Aurora Food Pantry is also looking for adult volunteers, so please check for more information.

Look for the Aurora Food Pantry table at the ACC during the Home and Home Series and thank you in advance for giving.
