Alan Peck apeck.[email protected]
Mr. Peck, CPA, CA is the President of the Samuel Family Office and has been a volunteer coach with
numerous male and female sports organizations for the past 25 years. He has been requested to coach
many players with hearing, learning, and social challenges.
Within the AMHA, Mr. Peck is a parent of two hockey players as well as a Coach, Trainer, and Manager.
Mr. Peck was named the Coach of the Year during the 2017/2018 year and Manager of the Year for the
2021/2022 hockey season.
Bella Aggarwal [email protected]
Mrs. Aggarwal is a Human Resources Professional, with over 15 years of progressive industry experience
in Senior Housing, Living Care, and most currently serves on the Chartwell Retirement Residence
Diversity and Leadership Council.
Mrs. Aggarwal is mother of three boys that are passionate about hockey. Mrs. Aggarwal is motivated by
a sense of empathy and compassion. She wants all children and young adults to feel valued and
accepted, irrespective of origin, gender identity, ethnicity, and religion. She is eager to help identify and
articulate contemporary challenges, and to continue to participate in the ongoing discussion,
recommending initiatives and polices that will help support the importance of education, and the
awareness required to foster an inclusive environment for our diverse community members, reflecting
our diverse country as a whole.
Carlos Goncalves [email protected]
Mr. Goncalves is a graduate of the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineering School at CFB
Borden. Mr. Goncalves is married with 3 children. He has been a Police Officer for 29 years and is
currently a Detachment Commander within the OPP Highway Safety Division.
Mr. Goncalves has been involved in minor hockey as a coach, referee, and board executive for many
years.
Forest Yuon [email protected]
Mr. Yuon is a Police Officer with York Regional Police and currently patrols the Newmarket-Aurora area.
He volunteers all of his spare time to various sports programs involving hundreds of kids primarily aimed
at the Asian community which he runs out of his home.
Mr. Youn is most proud of being a hockey parent to three children who are just starting out in their
hockey adventure.
Jen Bailie [email protected]
Jen Bailie grew up in Aurora where she raised her two boys with her husband AJ. She currently
works as an HR professional.
Mrs. Bailie is heavily involved with her two boys playing hockey here in the AHMA. There was
an on-ice racism incident on one of her son's teams that kicked off an anti-racism campaign
selling pink Aurora Tigers hoodies with the slogan #westandtogether. This call to action further
fueled her passion and interest in diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism. She is deeply
committed to being an ally in supporting our children as they play the sport that they love. Her
goal is to help any child facing adversity in hockey to have the same kind of support hers have
been blessed with.
Joe Bentolila [email protected]
Mr. Bentolila is committed to diversity, equality, and inclusion in Minor Hockey. Mr. Bentolila is a local
business owner; he is married and lives in Aurora with his wife and two children.
Mr. Bentolila has been active in Minor Hockey since 1997. He has been a Manager, Trainer, and Board
Member within the Aurora Minor Hockey Association (AMHA) and is currently the President of the
AMHA.
Lily Peck (Our Player Representative) [email protected]
Ms. Peck is an Honor Roll student at GW Williams High School in Aurora. She is a member of the Alliance
Club at GW Williams High School and has been involved with bringing knowledge and issues to the
general school population for the past two school years.
She currently plays House League hockey in the AMHA; and was one of the two, female identified
players in the U16/U17 division during the 2022/23 season.
She wears a hearing aid in her right ear and receives Hearing Assistive Technology at school, providing
her with a unique perspective regarding inclusion among peers.
Liz Cripps [email protected]
Mrs. Cripps is a first generation Canadian. Her parents are from Trinidad & Tobago and immigrated to
Canada nearly 40 years ago. She is a graduate of McMaster University and is a former Academic Vice
President of Social Sciences. She was instrumental in establishing the Experiential Education program at
McMaster University. With two decades of experience in system integration and business automation,
she has established her own company, WACADS Group Inc. In 2023, Liz was nominated for the 2023
Trailblazer Award for advancements in STEM.
Mrs. Cripps is a wife and mother of three boys who can often be found cheering at the hockey rink. Her
strong sense of community, passion for making a positive impact, drive to succeed, and love for her
family make her a well-rounded and inspiring individual.
Mike Baskin [email protected]
Mr. Baskin is a graduate of York University, a part time Realtor and Designer of pre-engineered steel
buildings. Mr. Baskin has lived in Aurora for the past 7 years.
Mr. Baskin has been involved with the AMHA for many years and has a son playing hockey in the
association. He is currently a House League Convenor, committed to ensuring accessibility, fairness, and
inclusion in minor sports.
Wendy Martin-Vickerman [email protected]
Mrs. Vickerman is currently the Vice President of Leasing for Smart Centres as well as a business owner
in the Town of Aurora. She is of Aboriginal descent and grew up on the Lower North Shore of Quebec
near the border of Labrador. At an early age she had to deal with the challenges of moving away from
her family to finish her high school before moving on to pursue her career.
Mrs. Martin is the mother of two older boys who still play hockey at a very competitive level and have
also been members of several different hockey programs in the area. She had volunteered with the York
Simcoe Express, starting off as the equipment manager and working her way up to Vice President of
Hockey Operations. She is very passionate about hockey and the community.
