Parents and players,
Hello, my name is James Coleman and I am the head coach for the 2022-23 U12 AA Aurora Tigers hockey team. I would like to welcome everyone to the tryouts and wish them all the best.
The tryout schedule is as follows:
Sun September 18, 2022 1:00pm - 2:30pm ACC # 1
Mon September 19, 2022 5:30pm - 7:00pm ACC # 1
Thu September 22, 2022 7:00pm ACC # 1 Game vs Newmarket
Tryout Process
1. You must be registered with the AMHA and have obtained a tryout passport from the website to participate.
2. Please arrive 30 min before tryout time.
3. Go to the AMHA table upon arrival at arena to check in to receive your child’s tryout
jersey. This jersey must be returned at the end of each tryout and does not go home.
4. Full protective gear is mandatory. Players missing equipment will not be allowed on the ice
5. You must attend the first tryout to attend the second and third
6. There will be a team of independent evaluators assisting me in assessing the players. The
AMHA will also have independent evaluators assessing players. Please do not approach
them during or after tryouts as they have a job to do.
7. Communication of my decisions after each tryout will occur via the website and not in
person at the arena. Your child’s passport submission ID number is your code that identifies you on the website. Go to the U12 AA Team on AMHA website.
• After the first tryout, results will be posted after 8:00pm same day
• After the second tryout, results will be posted after 4:00pm next day
• After the third tryout, results will be posted after 4:00pm the next day
I am aware that this can be an anxious time for some players and parents. Please encourage your child by reminding them to have fun, try their best and compete in a relaxed and confident manner. Please understand that a roster spot on this team should not be assumed.
