Exhibition Game vs Newmarket
Just a few quick notes related to our final tryout session tomorrow at ACC2 at 1:30pm vs. Newmarket.
I hope we can all agree that the players that have made it to our game tomorrow have all earned it after giving some exceptional effort in our first two tryout sessions.
Please have your son bring both home and away jerseys to our exhibition game tomorrow afternoon.
Please make sure they have all of their protective equipment in their bags. I can't let a player onto the ice without it.
You will notice a small number of AA players from last year sitting in the stands. These players have all been selected to our team for the upcoming season and are not participating in our game so that others that are still competing for spots have ample opportunity to play.
I would like to request that if your son is released to please wait 48 hours before requesting any feedback. My request is based on the fact that I'll be helping Coach Frank at his first tryout less than 24 hours after my final roster is selected. Please do not look for me to engage in a discussion with you at that tryout. Constructive conversations with you (or preferably your son) are welcome after the 48 hour period has passed. I appreciate your understanding and support on this.
The last selections that any coach makes at this point in tryouts are, without a doubt, the most difficult. I want to assure you that I won't be taking those decisions lightly or without many hours of thought, input, analysis, and discussion.
