After a very strong regular season with only 3 losses on the books, the
Peewee A team swept the Richmond Hill Stars in the first round of the
playdowns.
The second round brought us before our dreaded rivals to the north, the Barrie Colts. A full five games was needed to win this tough battle. On to the third round where we faced the unknown, the Whitby Wildcats from the Lakeshore League. Down in the series we had to fight back to win our last two games to defeat them in 6 games. The OMHA finals brought us the strongest competition faced yet in the powerful Oakville Rangers from the Tri-County League. Our run came to an end here having come out on the short end of the scoreboard in some very close games. All in all, an excellent season that saw coach Glenn Dool bring the boys the farthest that they have ever been into the OMHA playdowns; achieving an overall record of 43-15-7 including all tournaments; and, a top 10 ranking in Ontario. The team staff and the parents would like to sincerely thank Coach Dool for his tremendously calm, co-operative, and extremely effective coaching style. These boys thrived in the environment he created.
