In Memory of Kyle Hewitt
Our Hearts are Broken ~ The world lost a great man in the early hours of Friday, March 3rd, 2017, we lost our father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. Kyle Derek Hewitt was taken suddenly from us and his passing has left an irreparable hole in our hearts.

Kyle is survived by his beloved wife of almost 20 years, Jennifer, his cherished children Tyler, Cole and Addison, devoted parents Roy and Mary Louise, brothers Paul (Jo-Hannah) and Ryan, his in-laws Marthe Fortin and Wayne Cook and brother-in-law Jeffrey. Kyle was especially fond of his nephew and niece, Connor and Riley. He will be missed by his large extended family. Kyle was happiest when surrounded by his family and close friends at his cottage on 12 Mile Lake. Whether fishing with the kids, hosting friends, organizing snipe hunts, or just having his morning coffee in his favourite chair overlooking the lake, Kyle always had a huge smile on his face. As he always said, the cottage was his happy place, where stress just disappeared. Kyle had a lifelong passion for hockey. He started playing as a young child and continued playing into adulthood up until the night he was taken from us. Kyle was so proud to be part of the coaching staff for his son's Aurora Tigers hockey team...just talking about the boys made his face light up. Tyler, Cole, and Addison were the center of his world and he loved days spent with them at Sir Sam's, endlessly chasing them down the ski hill. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 7th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Thompson Funeral Home in Aurora (530 Industrial Parkway South - 905-727-5421). The Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, March 8th at 10am at St. John Chrysostom Parish (432 Ontario Street, Newmarket - 905-898-4137). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kyle's name to the Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation.
