to the Minor Atom A Tryouts!
Hello, My name is Frank Cornacchia and I'll be
the head coach for the 2016-17 season.
This webpage will provide the most up to date
information on the status of your player.
The players will be assigned a tryout jersey colour and number. Jerseys must be handed in to the coach following completion of each tryout.
Player selection will be based on:
Skating, Work Ethic/Desire, Shooting/Passing, & Hockey Sense (Game Play).
The AMHA will assign team evaluators to assist me in assessing the players.
The tryout schedule is a follows:
Friday April 29, 2016 @ ACC 1 from 6:30pm - 8:00pm
Saturday April 30, 2016 @ ACC 1 from 2:00pm - 3:30pm
Monday May 2, 2016 @ ACC 1 from 6:30pm - 8:00pm
All communication of my decisions after each tryout will occur via this website and NOT at the arena. Your son's passport submission ID number is your code that identifies your player. After each tryout, please visit the AMHA website to see if your son's code is on the list of players invited to the next tryout. Tryout 1 & 2 results will be posted no later than midnight of the same day. Tryouts 3 will be posted after 4pm the following day.
It is important for parents to manage their child's expectations during this process. A roster position should never be assumed.
Team Expectations:
There will be a financial commitment from each family. The estimated financial commitment will be approximately $2,000 to 2,500.
We will be looking for sponsorships and fundraising to help reduce the cost per family.
The average week will consist of 2 practices and 2 games. It is expected that all players attend all practices and games.
We will be attending approx. 3 tournaments (one being an away tournament).
If your child makes the team they MUST attend the Tigerware fitting on Tuesday, May 29th at 6:00pm
