The 2016-17 Novice AA
Tigers capped off a season to remember with an OMHA Championship yesterday at
ACC#2, defeating the talented Guelph Gryphons, 4-2.
The Tigers won the series, 3 games to 1, and yesterday's tilt was in front of a packed arena. The team started the season with a tournament title at the Richmond Hill Stars AA Early Bird Tournament and carried their successes through a dominant York Simcoe Regular Season, taking first place honours with a 23-2-3 record. With an overall seasonal record of 49-10-5, the team exhibited strong offensive play, locked down defensive play, and solid goaltending.
The Tigers also delivered a highly successful "Pucks for Charity" community campaign, raising funds for local charities.
Congratulations are extended to all of the players, to Coach Rob Blakley and his staff, and to all of the families and friends of the team. Way to go, Tigers!
