Welcome Letter
Thank you for attending the Aurora Tigers Minor
Bantam AA tryouts. I would like to thank
all the players for participating in the tryout process. My intention is to
fill a roster of 15 players and 2 goalies.
For the tryout process there will be no body checking.
There will be a total of (3) tryout sessions and (1)
exhibition game on the following dates:

Evaluation Process:
I will be using an evaluation committee to assist in the selection of the team. The evaluators have many years of experience in selecting and coaching Minor Hockey. We will be looking for player ability in the various skill sets of hockey, but will also focus on the player’s ability to adapt to play, coachability, listening skills, behavior, drive and sportsmanship.
Invite Back Process
After each session please refer to the website and carefully validate your passport number against the numbers on the team page, if your number matches you are invited back to the next tryout session.
If a player is invited back after the second tryout they may be required to attend and play in an exhibition game on Thursday April 30th. No cuts will be made after the exhibition game.
Tryout update will be on the website approximately 2 hours after the end of each tryout, results for the 3rd. tryout will not be posted until the morning after.
Following the team selection, I will be approaching parents regarding coaching positions, trainer, and team parent and support positions. We will assign other responsibilities as time goes on, but will expect every parent to play a role in supporting the team this year in some fashion.
Mandatory Dates:
Jersey Fitting – Saturday May 2nd.
Tigerware Fitting – Saturday June 20th.
