Aurora Tigers Atom AE Team Wins Silver Stick Regional Championship
The Aurora Tigers Atom AE team entered the Silver Stick Regional Tournament (December 12-14, 2014) with the goal of earning a spot in their fourth consecutive tournament championship game.

The team, winners of the Orangeville Early Bird Tournament, had also delivered successive second place finishes in both the Motown Cup and the Bradford Blue & Gold Classic, respectively.

The Tigers opened the Silver Stick Regional Tournament with a close win over the Richmond Hill Stars followed by hard-fought victories over the Innisfil Winterhawks and the Georgina Blaze. In the semi-final game, the team emerged victorious over a skilled Markham Waxers squad, setting up a championship game between the #1 seed, Aurora Tigers, and the #2 seed, Newmarket Redmen.

In a highly competitive final, the Tigers and Redmen battled from whistle to whistle, back and forth. Spurred on by vocal fans and an unwavering focus on teamwork, the Tigers won a tight championship game, 2-1. With the victory, the team was accepted into the International Silver Stick Finals in Pelham, scheduled for January 8-11, 2015.

Congratulations are extended to the Aurora Tigers Atom AE team, families, and a coaching staff focused on fun, player instruction, and player development.

Sincere appreciation is also extended to the Georgina Regional Tournament sponsors, volunteers, and directors.
