AMHA 20 - 21 Season Update
Submitted By Joe Bentolila on Thursday, April 23, 2020
Hello Everyone

I hope that this note finds you and your family well.  The safety, health, and wellness of our participants has always been the foundation of our core values. This has never been more important given the situation we are currently all facing together.

The outbreak of corona virus/COVID-19 has caused numerous companies and event organizers to postpone, reschedule or even cancel public events. Due to regulations and advisories from governments and public health organizations banning large gatherings of people, various Local, National and International events, including sporting events.  At the last AMHA Board meeting, we discussed several aspects of what next season may look like.  Here are a few things we can pass onto you.

The Board has decided to keep its early-bird registration fee consistent for this season. While there may be many concerns about what hockey will look like this upcoming season, we are doing everything in our planning process as if it will play out to be a normal season. With this in mind, we ask that you register your player(s) at your earliest opportunity in order to allow us to properly fill our teams without over purchasing ice that may not be required. We are in constant communication with the OMHA and they in turn with the OHF and Hockey Canada.  We will take their direction as to start dates and what our season will look like.
Our Annual AGM which was scheduled for May 20th, 2020 is now postponed until further notice
Our game will move forward and times like this remind us of the value of community sport.
Moving forward will be a significant challenge, but we are planning for hockey to return and to be very welcoming when it does for all that are involved.
As much as we all love the game, we are reminded of the importance of family and friends. Please stay safe and healthy. Please continue to check our website for ongoing updates and information. Should you have any questions or concerns, you can reach out to the Hockey office by way of email to either Andrea Bentolila at  [email protected] or Linda Cosentino at [email protected] or by leaving a phone message at 905-727-1480
See you all at the rink soon!
